Philosophy Regarding Interscholastic Athletics

School athletics can create some of the best memories that a person carries with them through life. And that is what the Flint Hills Athletic Department desires to generate. Participation in athletics is more than practices and games. It is a combination of practices, games, discipline and habit development, responsibility building, personal relationship development, and learning how to handle both success and adversity with class and character.

Sports Admission Fees

Single game admission is $4 for adults ($3 for Seniors 62 and older) and $2 for students (K-12).  Family passes per single game are $14.

Family Booster passes, which admit immediate family members to all home volleyball and basketball games are $60 (basketball only is $45).  Single Adult Booster passes are $30 and Single Senior or Student Booster passes are $20 (Booster passes are for Flint Hills families, students and alumni only).  Passes may be purchased from the school office or at the gate prior to any game.  Booster passes may not be used for any tournament (SHEA basketball or KCAA volleyball or basketball).

Philosophy on Priorities

We want each participant to learn many things about their athletic experience. One of those things is an understanding of right priorities. We believe those priorities are:

  • Relationship and walk with God
  • Relationship and family
  • Academics – be the best student you can be
  • Honoring and glorifying God through athletics and other extracurricular pursuits

Scholastic Book Fair, Feb. 26 - March 2.  The fair will feature morning, lunch time and afternoon hours.  Come, browse, buy and support FHCS too!

Kindergarten & K-4 Round-Up! (No School for Kindergarten and K-4 Students).

Mar 5th
4:00 pm to 6:30 pm

Scholars Bowl Junior High Meet at St. Xavier.  Dismiss at 3pm and meet begins at 4pm.

Mar 8th

Cair Paravel Fine Arts Festival (grades 5-8) at Topeka.

Mar 9th

Cair Paravel Fine Arts Festival (grades 9-12) in Topeka

Mar 9th

End of 3rd Quarter.

Mar 12th
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Scholars Bowl Junior High at Cair Paravel.  Dismiss at 2:45pm and meet begins at 4pm.

Mar 15th
7:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Parent-Teacher Conferences, Thursday, March 15, 4-7pm.

Mar 16th
8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Parent Teacher Conferences, 8am-1pm (no classes).

Mar 19th

Spring Break!  No School.

Mar 23rd

Golf Meet (individuals, not team meet) at Cypress Ridge Golf Course (in Topeka). Times TBD.

Mar 26th

Classes Resume.

Mar 30th

Good Friday - No School.
